TensGuard Takes Home the Gold

DSM Nutritional Products’ TensGuard has won the gold medal for the most innovative ingredient of 2008 at this year’s Health Ingredients Awards, held at Health ingredients (Hi) Europe in Paris, France. The judging panel of industry luminaries included representatives from Unilever, Danone and Kellogg’s. Utilizing ad­vanced enzyme technology, TensGuard contains dairy peptides, proven to help control blood pressure to maintain a healthy heart. Slendesta Potato Extract from Kemin Health received the Silver Award. Derived from white potatoes, Slendesta is a natural satiety ingredient, ideal for use in dietary supplements, as well as conventional foods and beverages. Bronze was awarded to Brudy Technology’s Algatrium, which contains DHA and stimulates cell antioxidant activity.
